Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its finance team in Hopkinton. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in corporate accounting, public company reporting, and the month-end close process. The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in supporting the general ledger, preparing financial statements, assisting with SEC and quarterly reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Assist with quarterly reporting requirements for a publicly traded company, including footnote support and disclosure preparation
  • Maintain and improve general ledger accuracy and account reconciliation processes
  • Partner with internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual audits
  • Support compliance with SOX controls and corporate accounting policies
  • Analyze complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, tax, and operational teams to support reporting and business initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including corporate accounting experience within a publicly traded company environment
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite
  • Strong experience managing the month-end close process
  • Experience supporting quarterly reporting for a publicly traded company
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude

Nice to have

  • CPA or CPA-track preferred
  • Experience with SEC reporting and technical accounting research
  • Prior experience in a large corporate or public accounting environment
