Job Description

Designs and develops all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery. Will be responsible for the development, installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and draft electrical and pneumatic schematics using AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical
  • Develop control panel layouts and wiring diagrams
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of control systems
  • Support assembly and testing teams during the build phase by providing troubleshooting expertise and design clarifications
  • Review and update design documentation to reflect as-built conditions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and industry regulations
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Ability to travel to and within USA, Canada and Mexico
  • May be required to work extended hours on occasion
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in a similar role
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical
  • Solid understanding of electrical and pneumatic schematic design
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and debug control panels, both during the build process and post-installation
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team environments
  • Professionalism and attention to detail a must
  • Team-player and performance-driven

  • Diagnose and resolve complex controls issues (logic, communications, devices, sensors, trending, alarms)
