Job Description:

This is a foundational seat working directly with the founder and leadership team to build the financial backbone of the company as it scales through its next phase of growth. The company is moving finance in house after relying on an outsourced firm and part-time CPA support. Growth has reached the point where they need a single owner who can clean things up, professionalize processes, and build the foundation for scale by mid-year.

Job Responsibility:

  • End-to-end accounting and month-end close
  • Building SOPs and scalable finance processes
  • Managing payroll, AP, AR, and company card platforms
  • Producing financial statements and leadership reporting
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and light FP& A
  • Revenue reporting and sales performance analysis
  • Acting as the finance partner to the founder and commercial leadership
  • Preparing the company for its next phase of growth

Requirements:

  • 6–12+ years of accounting and finance experience in startup or high-growth environments (Seed/Series A preferred)
  • Strong Accounting Manager, FP& A Manager, or early Controller ready for a first Head of Finance-style role
  • Comfortable being hands-on without a large team
  • Experience owning month-end close and core accounting processes
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting
  • CPA a plus, not required
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
