Job Description:

The GCIO Chief Control Office (CCO) team plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management. We provide operational risk and control expertise, specialist technical knowledge and a deep understanding of the businesses and functions we serve.

Job Responsibility:

Support the Director of GCIO CCO Shared Services to build out the new GCIO Chief Control Office (GCIO CCO) Shared Services function
Deliver Control Management and Framework related products and services to the GCIO function
Lead change initiatives to mature the bank's Control Design Architecture, Control Frameworks and Control Standards
Continuously improve products and services that enable technology risk and control management across HSBC
Provide product expertise and ownership through proactive customer engagement and deliver improvements
Provide advice and designing for products, processes, and services in a commercially viable, practical and effective manner
Identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment
Face off to senior management and driving the GCIO function to the products and services you are accountable for

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience working in risk and controls in financial services either within a risk related function, or as a management consultant
Broad expertise in Cyber, Technology and / or Data risk related control design (e.g. NIST, COBIT etc.)
Experience of delivering complex change in a global, matrix-style organisation
Flexibility to adapt to changing scope and demands
Expertise in designing Risk Management Frameworks and Control Frameworks
Experience delivering products and services to a broad array of internal customers
Strong communication skills to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
Flexible and adaptable, able to handle and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
