Job Description

Our client is a nationally recognized engineering and construction organization that delivers large-scale infrastructure and building projects across the United States. The company is experiencing significant growth through both acquisition activity and expanding market demand, and adding a Senior Contracts Specialist to its legal and contracts team.

Job Responsibility

  • Review, redline, draft, and negotiate a high volume of construction and commercial agreements including contracts, change orders, vendor agreements, service agreements, and releases
  • Partner directly with business stakeholders throughout the procurement and contract negotiation process
  • Identify contractual risks and provide practical recommendations to protect the company's interests
  • Maintain and update contract templates and standard language to support consistency and best practices
  • Interpret contract terms, answer internal questions, and ensure timely contract turnaround

Requirements

  • Strong construction industry experience required
  • 5+ years of contract administration, contracts management, or related legal/contracts experience
  • Extensive experience reviewing, redlining, drafting, and negotiating contracts
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, change orders, and vendor/service agreements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal training and bring contract management best practices to the team
  • Comfortable spending the majority of the day reviewing and negotiating agreements
