We are currently recruiting for a health organisation, who are looking for a Senior Contracts Manager within their Assets and Property department on a three-month contract in London. The role is operating a hybrid model with three days on-site in their London offices.
Job Responsibility:
You will undertake a three-month review of contracts held within the directorate, assessing the effectives of current contract management practices, identifying where the trust is not receiving the services, performance levels or value within contractual agreements and highlighting opportunities for cost savings
You will identify gaps in compliance, performance monitoring and supplier delivery, providing recommendations to strengthen contract oversight and maximise financial efficiency
Standardise contract management practices across the directorate to ensure consistency, transparency, and audit readiness
Produce high-quality performance reports, highlighting risks, underperformance, and opportunities for improvement
Lead the identification, assessment and mitigation of commercial financial, operational and regulatory risks within contracts
Horizon scan for emerging risks, regulatory changes and market developments, reporting implications to senior stakeholders
Review the financial aspects of contracts including invoicing, credits, reconciliations and final accounts (if applicable)
Analyse contract spend to identify opportunities for cost reduction, consolidation and improved commercial outcomes
Requirements:
Significant experience in contract management, procurement, or commercial management within a complex organisation
Demonstrable experience managing high value, high risk, or strategically important contracts
Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data and contractual terms
Expert knowledge of public sector procurement regulations, NHS governance frameworks, and contract law principles
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and negotiate effectively with suppliers
