Job Responsibility:
Manage the full contract life cycle from pre-qualification and award through to final account close-out
Draft, review, and negotiate high-value contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements, ensuring full alignment with corporate governance and legal standards
Lead the preparation of robust tender packages, including conditions of contract and technical specifications
Drive tender evaluations and contractor selection processes, providing expert commercial advice to ensure optimal value
Monitor budgets, manage variation orders, and oversee the assessment of contractor progress claims for payment recommendations
Evaluate and negotiate complex Extension of Time (EOT) claims and variations while implementing value engineering measures
Lead negotiations for contractual disputes and claims, preparing detailed reports and liaising with legal counsel as required
Act as the primary interface between the organisation and external contractors while providing contractual guidance to internal project and finance teams
Ensure all operations adhere to local construction laws, building regulations, and insurance/bond requirements
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of dual experience, demonstrating a robust track record in both professional consultancy and the property development sector
Excellent command of written and verbal communication
highly proficient in MS Office and specialised contract management software
In-depth expertise in industry-standard forms of contract, including FIDIC, PAM, JCT, or local equivalents
