Job Description:

A prominent and listed property developer with a diversified portfolio is seeking a strategic Senior Contracts Manager to drive excellence in procurement and contract administration. Ideal for an expert in cost management and dispute resolution, this position offers a leadership platform within a growing group currently expanding its footprint across several high-profile urban developments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Establish and govern the group’s contract administration frameworks, ensuring all policies align with corporate risk appetite and industry best practices
  • Manage financial integrity through the oversight of project budgets, cost planning, and cash flow forecasting to ensure robust ROI
  • Navigate Joint Ventures (JV) by meticulously reviewing agreements, identifying critical conditions precedent, and managing long-term contractual obligations
  • Direct the procurement lifecycle, from defining pre-qualification criteria to leading final tender clarifications and value-engineering negotiations
  • Lead the commercial execution of projects, providing expert guidance on progress payments, Variation Orders (VO), Extensions of Time (EOT), and complex claims
  • Direct the Defects Liability Period (DLP) strategy, ensuring rectification works and cost claims are settled efficiently and within budget

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within the property development sector, with a significant portfolio of successfully delivered high-volume residential and commercial projects
  • In-depth command of construction methodologies, cost engineering, and contractual law
