Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Contract Manager to take full ownership of a diverse portfolio of multi-site cleaning contracts across the North. In this role, you’ll lead Contract Managers and operational teams to deliver exceptional service standards, build strong client relationships, and drive commercial performance. Acting as the key account lead for national clients, you will balance service excellence with profitability, while ensuring risks are effectively managed.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure contracted cleaning standards are consistently delivered across all sites while improving productivity and efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong client partnerships through regular engagement and proactive issue resolution
  • Drive profitability through labour control, budget management, and identifying growth opportunities
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams, fostering an inclusive and engaged culture
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy across multiple sites
  • Lead successful contract transitions and mobilisations, ensuring structured and seamless delivery
  • Maintain full compliance with H&S, legislation, and internal governance processes
  • Turn around underperforming contracts and manage 'business at risk' with clear action plans
  • Drive strategic projects and data-led decisions to enhance performance and service delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior operational role within cleaning or facilities management
  • Proven experience managing multi-site operations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and operational systems
