Based on-site in Ashmore, you will play a pivotal role in easing congestion between Logan City and the Gold Coast. As a Senior Contract Administrator (or an ambitious Mid-Level CA ready to take the leap), you will partner closely with project leadership to drive end-to-end commercial outcomes. You will have full ownership of subcontractor and supplier agreements, ensuring strict cost control, accurate financial reporting, and robust risk management.
Job Responsibility
Maintain a deep understanding of Head Contract conditions, ensuring all risks are appropriately mitigated and flowed down into subcontracts
Lead the subcontract tendering process, including scope preparation, evaluations, negotiations, and risk assessments
Administer subcontractor payments, variations, backcharges, and claims in strict compliance with Security of Payment legislation
Manage cost tracking, forecasting, accruals, and monthly commercial reporting to keep the project on budget
Provide expert commercial advice to the project team and maintain strong, productive relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying
Construction Management
Engineering or a relevant commercial discipline
Proven track record in contract administration, ideally within a principal contractor environment on major civil or infrastructure projects
Strong ability to interpret head contracts, manage procurement, track forecasts, and confidently handle complex claims/variations
