Job Description

Our client is a highly respected, national Tier 2 builder specialising in luxury residential, commercial, and boutique development projects. Backed by over three decades of industry experience and strong leadership, they are currently expanding their footprint into Queensland. As part of their strategic growth plans, they have secured key leadership appointments and are now seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join their brand-new Queensland delivery team. As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with the Project Manager and Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the project’s contractual and financial obligations while ensuring strong commercial outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Procurement, tendering, and management of subcontract packages through to final account
  • Administration of subcontract agreements, variations, progress claims, and contract correspondence
  • Assessment and management of subcontractor claims and payment schedules
  • Cost tracking, forecasting, budget management, and monthly financial reporting
  • Assisting with head contract administration and commercial risk management
  • Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring contractual compliance
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience as a Contract Administrator or similar role within the Australian commercial construction sector
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets and reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Tertiary or trade Qualification in Construction
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a contract administrator within the commercial construction industry delivering projects in Australia for the HC
