Job Description

Our client is a respected Tier 2 commercial builder and property developer with over 30 years of success delivering projects across Southeast Queensland. Specialising in industrial, large-format retail, commercial office, and multi-residential developments, they are known for quality outcomes and a strong people-focused culture. With the resources of a major contractor and the agility of a close-knit team, they continue to secure landmark projects throughout the region. Due to ongoing growth and a strong pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join their team and support the delivery of a $40M project. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the commercial management of a $40M development from the second stage of the project to completion.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage subcontract agreements, variations, progress claims, and contract correspondence
  • Prepare tender packages, scopes of work, and expressions of interest
  • Evaluate subcontractor submissions, conduct scope reviews, and prepare tender recommendations
  • Assess and manage subcontractor claims, variations, and payment schedules
  • Draft, issue, and administer subcontract agreements and purchase orders
  • Monitor project costs against budget and assist with forecasting and reporting
  • Support head contract administration, risk management, and commercial compliance
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Support project teams to achieve commercial objectives

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline
  • 5 years' experience as a Senior Contract Administrator, Contracts Administrator, Contracts Manager, or similar role
  • Proven experience delivering commercial, industrial, or multi-residential projects valued up to $40M+
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract management skills
  • Experience with construction management systems such as Procore, Jobpac, or similar
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
