As a Senior Content Writer (SCW) at Ralecon, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and overseeing the development of high-quality, SEO-driven content that aligns with client branding and digital marketing goals. This role involves producing compelling content across a range of formats including websites, blogs, guest posts, advertisements, emailers, Quora, and social media. This role requires excellent writing skills, a deep understanding of content marketing and the ability to manage and mentor a team of content creators. In addition to content development, you will take ownership of maintaining editorial standards, guiding junior writers, and ensuring all deliverables are aligned with performance objectives. You will work closely with internal teams including SEO specialists, account managers, and designers to deliver content that not only engages the audience but also contributes to improved online visibility and lead generation for clients.
Job Responsibility:
Content Creation & Strategy: Create original, grammatically sound, and SEO-optimized content for blogs, guest blogs, websites, emailers, social media, Quora and press releases, while crafting compelling headlines and CTAs that align with each client’s branding and goals
Data-Driven Content Development: Write well-researched content that incorporates statistical data, infographics, charts, and figures to enhance organic traffic and drive lead generation
Research & Ideation: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends and collaborate with internal teams to generate strategic content ideas based on current digital trends and competitive analysis
Brand Alignment: Understand the brand’s voice and tone to create content that aligns with the client’s identity and effectively connects with the target audience
Headline & Title Crafting: Think up titles for each piece of content that are compelling, relevant, and appropriate for the target audience and platform
Quality Assurance: Proofread, edit, and format all content to ensure accuracy, readability, and alignment with brand tone, while using tools like Grammarly or Copyscape to ensure it is error-free and plagiarism-free
Competitor Monitoring: Stay updated on competitor activities and industry happenings to develop content that stands out and appeals to the audience’s current interests
Project Load: A maximum of 2,500 words per day should be crafted, ensuring the highest level of quality is maintained throughout
Collaboration: Work closely with SEO, design, and account management teams to ensure all written content supports search intent, creative design, and client-specific expectations. Coordinate with different tech team members to ensure cohesive content delivery with the content coordinator
Content Calendar Management: Assist in planning and managing content calendars to ensure timely delivery of content assets
Time & Project Management: Manage time efficiently by prioritizing tasks, adhering to deadlines, and handling multiple content projects without compromising quality. Ensure timely delivery of content projects, managing deadlines and bottlenecks efficiently
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain structured documentation of content drafts, feedback, approvals, and publishing logs. Share performance updates during team reviews
Performance Optimization: Use analytics tools to monitor content performance and suggest enhancements to improve visibility, engagement, and ROI
Process Adherence: Complete all tasks assigned in Zoho Projects within deadlines while following Ralecon’s editorial standards and participating in ongoing process enhancement discussions
Leadership & Mentoring: Provide guidance, feedback, and support to junior writers. Uphold editorial standards and foster a collaborative team culture. Conduct training sessions and regular feedback reviews to improve writing quality
Ad hoc Tasks: Willingly undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Content Coordinator (CC), Associate Head of Digital Operations (AHODO), Head of Digital Operations (HODO) or Senior Management to support overall team objectives
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Proven experience of 5+ years in content writing, preferably within a digital marketing agency and prior exposure to SEO or technical content being an added advantage
Proven ability to manage multiple content projects and lead a team
Demonstrate exceptional command over English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with the ability to flex your writing style and tone to suit various industries and content formats
Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and practices
Ability to understand client needs and tailor strategies and content accordingly
Exhibit strong attention to detail, effective time and research management, multitasking capabilities, and a willingness to learn new content formats and digital tools in both independent and collaborative work environments
Be proficient in tools such as Google Docs, MS Word, Grammarly, WordPress (basic), Trelo, Asana, Copyscape, Zoho Projects, and Zoho Cliq to manage content creation and project workflows efficiently
