Disney’s DTC Content Partnerships team is seeking a Senior Content Acquisition Associate to join the Global Partnerships team. This team partners with major U.S. studio partners to identify, evaluate, and acquire film and television content to meet both global and regional needs for Disney+. In this role, you will support film and TV licensing deals end-to-end, including opportunity evaluation, data analysis, deal execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a key role in operationalizing deals, maintaining process integrity, and ensuring accurate documentation and delivery of deal terms across internal teams.
Job Responsibility:
Support the development of global content strategies by leveraging data to inform key business decisions and optimize the overall content portfolio
Track and evaluate content for potential licensing opportunities, analyze on-platform performance, and support post-launch deal reviews
Partner closely with Content Planning and Analysis to model valuations for prospective film and television titles
Operationalize deals by creating territory matrices, rights assumptions, and related documentation
Contribute to strategic relationships with content partners pre and post-deal execution by managing partner requests and liaising with operational teams
Provide cross-functional support by managing communication with Content Planning, Rights Management, Operations, and Regional teams—ensuring accuracy, alignment, and timely issue escalation
Support long-term and ad-hoc projects, including competitive and market analysis, to inform TV and Film team strategies
Requirements:
3+ years of relevant experience at a major media company, consulting firm, or investment bank
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and strategic storytelling skills, strong Excel modeling skillset and the ability to produce executive-ready presentations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities
Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage processes end-to-end
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and business judgment skills
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of professional experience
Nice to have:
Hands-on experience within the TV and/or Film industry, particularly in content acquisition, sales, or strategy
Familiarity with the evolving global media and streaming landscape
Strong interest in television and film content
