We are seeking a Senior Consultant, an expert-level client-facing role responsible for bridging business and technology to deliver end-to-end solutions for enterprise and institutional clients. Operating within the Service & Enterprise Solutions organization, the Senior Consultant works directly at client sites, spending significant time on-site to understand business needs, gather requirements, design solutions, and oversee implementations. This role combines deep functional expertise with strong technical capabilities, enabling the Senior Consultant to deliver 360-degree value across the entire solution lifecycle. The Senior Consultant is valued for their ability to understand both how the business works and how the technology works, translating between these domains to implement solutions that deliver real client value.
Job Responsibility:
Work on-site at client locations to understand business operations, processes, and challenges
Gather and document functional and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis
Design end-to-end solutions that address business needs while leveraging appropriate technology capabilities
Lead implementation activities, configuring systems, developing integrations, and ensuring solutions work as intended
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements and ensuring mutual understanding
Provide expert guidance on functional best practices, industry standards, and optimal solution approaches
Configure and customize platforms to meet specific client business processes and workflows
Conduct user acceptance testing, training, and knowledge transfer to ensure successful adoption
Troubleshoot issues that span business process and technical implementation
Document solution designs, configurations, and implementation decisions
Deliver 360-degree value across the entire engagement lifecycle from requirements through go-live and support
Requirements:
7–10 years of experience as a functional consultant, solution consultant, or implementation consultant
Deep expertise in financial services business processes (custody, payments, treasury, banking operations, or capital markets)
Strong technical capabilities: ability to configure systems, understand APIs, work with databases, and troubleshoot technical issues
Proven experience implementing enterprise software solutions in financial services environments
Ability to gather and document detailed functional and technical requirements
Comfortable working on-site at client locations with significant travel (3+ days per week)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across business and technical domains
Excellent communication skills: ability to engage with both business users and technical teams
Self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and geographies, demonstrating high-quality and high-touch customer engagement throughout all phases of delivery
Understanding of regulated financial services environments and compliance requirements
Languages: German and English required for Zurich
French and English for Geneva
Italian for Lugano. flexibility based on client assignment
Location: Switzerland (Zurich, Geneva, or Lugano based on client needs)
Nice to have:
Experience with blockchain, digital asset, or cryptocurrency platforms
Knowledge of core banking platforms (Avaloq, Temenos, Sopra) or financial systems
Technical skills in Python, SQL, APIs, or system integration
