We are seeking a experienced Senior Consultant to join our CRU Consulting team. In this role, you will take the lead in managing client projects, providing strategic insights, and delivering high-quality solutions to meet our clients’ business needs. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to develop clear project proposals, lead data analysis, and ensure successful project outcomes. Job Responsibility:
Lead Management and Project Execution: Respond to incoming leads and oversee project management, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our clients
Client Collaboration and Proposal Development: Work closely with clients, CRU Sales, and internal Consulting teams to develop clear, concise, and effective project proposals
Project Leadership and Delegation: Lead and participate in project planning meetings, design workplans, and delegate tasks to ensure successful project execution
Data Analysis and Insight Development: Analyze data using existing methodologies to uncover key trends and insights, and present clear, actionable conclusions to clients
Reporting and Communication: Prepare professional reports using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant technical or economic software to effectively communicate project outcomes
Deadline Management: Maintain accountability for meeting deadlines, both personal and team-driven
Marketing and Business Development: Support senior team members in marketing efforts, including lead generation, proposal preparation, and the development of marketing materials
Client Engagement and Relationship Building: Proactively engage with clients to understand their business needs, present new market opportunities, and position CRU Consulting as a trusted partner
Salesforce Management: Document client interactions, leads, and proposals using Salesforce, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible
Collaboration Across CRU Offices: Interact with key stakeholders across CRU’s global offices to foster collaboration and drive the success of client projects
Requirements:
Relevant first degree e.g. Engineering, Economics
Minimum of 8 years of related experience
Project management experience including exposure to working across multi-locations with different cultures
Intellectual leadership with an exceptional understanding of the metals, mining and energy markets
Strong quantitative background and a creative thinker underpinned by robust approach to data/modelling
Goal-oriented, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
able to operate efficiently, effectively and professionally within a fast paced, dynamic and results driven business environment
Ability to lead, influence and motivate others, develop and mentor members of the broader consultancy team and provide clear direction even in situations involving ambiguity and uncertainty
Experience of project/team leadership and focus on quality
Ability to discuss confidently with market participants and an inquisitive mind to obtain information that helps CRU Consulting provide a unique understanding to these markets
Collect and analyze data and apply analytical methodologies to present information visually
Prepare reports and proposals suitable for submission to prospective clients
Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Fluent written and spoken English
Nice to have:
Further degree (Masters degree with merit, MBA and/or PhD) would be beneficial
Experience in business development an advantage
