Job Description:

Shadow-Soft seeks a Senior Consultant to join its technical consulting team. As a Senior Consultant you will work with customers to design, implement, and troubleshoot technology initiatives in support of the organization’s goals. You will act as a hands on trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through modernization efforts to gain efficiencies and scale related to IT infrastructure and application performance. You will work closely with Shadow-Soft technical Practice Leaders to deliver value to customers and identify new opportunities to engage with customers.

Job Responsibility:

90% utilization target per quarter working 1-2 customer engagements at a time
Assist sales team with uncovering new service opportunities
When available, presales engineering support including but not limited to presentations, scoping, proposals, and demos
Provide input for product/service offerings at the direction of management and product managers
Remain current on existing supported technologies and maintain pace with the market as new technologies emerge
Marketing support including technical guidance, contributing content, and participation in community and industry events as requested
Customer technical mentoring/advisement
Technical writing
Work with customers to design, implement, and troubleshoot technology initiatives in support of the organization’s goals
Act as a hands on trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through modernization efforts to gain efficiencies and scale related to IT infrastructure and application performance
Work closely with Shadow-Soft technical Practice Leaders to deliver value to customers and identify new opportunities to engage with customers

Requirements:

Travel may be required based on customer requirements
Must be able to pass a background and drug screen at any time
Bachelor's degree in a technical field and/or combination relevant experience and training
Active Amazon Web Services CSA, Azure Solution Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect or relevant experience in lieu of certification
3+ years of consulting experience
Deep TCP/IP networking background preferred
Software-defined-networking background preferred
3 years of VMware and/or KVM Administrative experience
4 years of RHEL/CentOS (7/8/9) administration experience
2 years of automation background with Ansible and Terraform
3 years of Kubernetes administrative (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift or Rancher) experience
Preferred experience with implementing security controls based on NIST 800-53, PCI DCS, and similar
Background with observability tools/platforms such as Dynatrace, Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana
4 years of experience in Java or C#
Experience with enterprise application servers
Experience with messaging brokers and an enterprise service bus preferred
2 years of experience in NodeJS, React and/or Angular
2 years of experience deploying applications to Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift or Rancher)
1 year of Tekton and Jenkins-X pipeline development experience
3 years of CICD deployment experience on traditional Jenkins
Preferred experience with implementation of security controls based on OWASP Top 10
Deep understanding of microservice design and traditional SOA architecture
Background with Service mesh using Istio, OpenShift Service Mesh and/or Consul
Background with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Instana and/or other APM monitoring solutions

Nice to have:
