Job Description:

HSBC is currently seeking a highly experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. This role involves leading the delivery of payment microservices in Java Spring Boot applications, working with a focus on RTP services in DOME, and deploying applications on Kubernetes and Cloud platforms. Responsibilities include designing scalable backend services, creating interactive frontend interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying updated on emerging technologies.

Job Responsibility:

Own end to end delivery of RTP services in DOME
Design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications for Payments application using messages like MT and ISO20022 message standards
Develop robust and scalable backend services using Java 21 and above, REST API, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Spring Boot, SQL, Linux Junit, Mockito, Micro services architecture and databases
Create responsive and interactive frontend interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React – This will be an upper edge
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
Write unit tests, integration tests, and perform code reviews
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements:

9+ years of experience in Java development
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, MCA or equivalent
Strong knowledge in messages like MT and ISO20022 message standards
Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies
Experience with frontend development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React – Upper Edge
Familiarity with databases and SQL
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Experience with any Cloud Platform (GCP/AWS)
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins
Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Nice to have:

Frontend development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React
Experience with any Cloud Platform (GCP/AWS)
