Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. The role involves implementing and upgrading Elastic Search, supporting business and development teams, and assisting with cloud migration, while working in a large, geographically dispersed organization.

Job Responsibility:

Implement and upgrade Elastic Search
Provide L2/3 Support to business users
Provide L3 Support to development pods
Assist in implementation of the migration of Elastic Search from on-premises to the cloud
Working for a very large, diverse, and geographically spread organization
Working and partnering with business, development, and infrastructure teams
Weekend, sometimes evening work is required.

Requirements:

Elastic Search SME
Working knowledge of SPARK, scala or java
Google Cloud Platform
DevOps / Agile practices (Scrum / KANBAN)
Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem
Methodical and measured approach with a keen eye for attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in the face of adversity
Ability to collaborate, interact and engage with different business, technical and subject matter experts
Good, concise written and verbal communication
Pro-active, a can-do mind-set and attitude
Good documentation skills.
