Job Description:

The role involves working across the Technology delivery lifecycle, including software development, testing, operational support, and automation. It requires ensuring high quality code and service resilience while keeping up-to-date with current tools, technologies, and regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Work across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of a product or service in a pod within a Technology team
Continually enhance skills within multiple specialisms including front end, development, security, testing, and operational support
Provide support across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle carrying out software development, testing and operational support activities as required
End-to-end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service's direction
Establish a digital environment and automate processes to ensure high quality code and data
Create technical test plans and records, including automated unit and integration tests
Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change
Ensure operational issues are identified and resolved at all stages of a product or service release/change
Automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines within a DevOps Product/Service team
Keep up-to-date with tools, technologies, and regulations, including cyber security and data privacy.

Requirements:

Demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit
A change driver and fast leaner
A university graduate
Full stack software engineering capability including front-end, middleware, backend is a must
Proven contribution to international academic and industrial communities and/or open source communities will be a huge advantage
Business knowledge in financial services industry (retail, wholesale and investment banking, wealth management, insurance, financial markets, etc.) is preferred
Capability of reading newest academic and research papers in the areas of banking, financial services and technologies is a must
Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills
excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Strong communication skill in both verbal and written form
capability of delivering effective presentation to teammates and external and internal stakeholders
Commitment to assigned task, attention to details and willing to dedicate efforts
Experience of working in a DevOps focused environment and working in an Agile Team
Flexible and adaptable in accommodating change of requirement and willing to take new responsibilities when necessary
Be able to work across multiple domains of knowledge and skills, and share knowledge across the team
Knowledge of architecture disciplines and the ability put the governance into practice, knowledge of industry standards will be an advantage.
