Job Description:

Senior Consultant Specialist role in Cybersecurity at HSBC, focusing on ensuring the bank's policies and practices prioritize business needs with emphasis on sensitive data, customer privacy and trust. The role involves working with product teams to embed data protection into customer-facing initiatives and leveraging automation for optimal user experience.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure bank's policies and practices prioritize business needs with focus on sensitive data, customer privacy and trust
Work closely with product teams & developers to embed data protection considerations into customer-facing initiatives
Leverage automation and platform integration for best end user experience and frictionless data protection
Lead customer-focused and collaborative culture by championing customer and stakeholder engagement
Respond promptly and effectively to data breaches or security incidents
Develop and implement comprehensive strategy aligned with bank's overall strategy and cybersecurity objectives
Provide visionary leadership fostering continuous improvement and innovation
Collaborate with senior leadership across the bank to ensure data protection initiatives support business goals
Manage budget ensuring efficient allocation of resources
Support development of the team making sustainable decisions
Promote ethical management of risk across regions and business areas
Build and sustain risk aware culture
Embed efficient risk and compliance processes into business as usual practices
Build collaborative relationships and define targeted benefits for change interventions

Requirements:

Background in information systems, technology, architecture, design, and service delivery of defense-in-depth capabilities
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience of understanding and meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders
Ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences
Extensive experience in data protection and cybersecurity
Proven track record of successfully developing, delivery and implementing large scale global data protection strategies & programmes
Customer centric consultancy approach with experience in delivering large scale transformation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working in a highly regulated, large multi-national environment
Experience with CoT, Misdirected emails, insider Threat, external email backhaul via EOL, DLP projects
Deep understanding of email systems fundamentals and security layers with in-depth knowledge of SMTP including SMTP Auth
Knowledge of HSBC (or other large Bank/Enterprise) mail environment/infrastructure/Architecture and Exchange Online
Understanding of capability, processes and procedures to avoid Malware, Phishing and Social Engineering attacks
Practical experience implementing email systems preferably Proofpoint solutions

Nice to have:

Knowledge of HSBC mail environment/infrastructure/Architecture and Exchange Online
Practical experience with Proofpoint solutions
