Job Description:

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional for the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and managing enterprise network infrastructures, ensuring security, compliance, and high availability while working in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will have deep networking expertise, hands-on experience with advanced protocols and technologies, and familiarity with network automation tools.

Job Responsibility:

Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructures, focusing on high availability, security, and compliance
Configure and maintain Routing & Switching solutions using Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, and ASR
Implement advanced WAN, LAN, and Data Center networking solutions across global HSBC locations
Manage and optimize BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN, SD access and QoS to ensure seamless global connectivity
Working knowledge of Sonic or any white boxing Network solution
Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple HSBC business units
Utilize tools like Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, Splunk, and Wireshark for real-time network monitoring and optimization
Conduct network risk assessments, audits, and ensure compliance with HSBC’s security policies and regulatory requirements
Knowledge and Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and Python for automated network provisioning
Work in an Agile environment, contributing to Scrum or Kanban teams for iterative network deployments

Requirements:

Networking Expertise: Deep knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNP/CCIE preferred)
Protocols & Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN
Security & Compliance: Experience with firewalls, NAC, and Zero Trust security models
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Experience with Cisco DNA, Sevone, HPNA, Netscout, Wireshark
Knowledge of Dev-ops tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git etc
Certifications (Preferred): CCNP, AWS Networking, Cisco Devnet
