Job Description:

Senior technology role working across the entire technology delivery lifecycle to develop and manage products/services within HSBC's technology team, requiring expertise in multiple specialisms including front-end development, security, testing, and operational support.

Job Responsibility:

Work across Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management
Provide support across end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle including software development, testing and operational support
End-to-end accountability for product or service
Liaise with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to drive product direction
Establish digital environment and automate processes
Create technical test plans and records including unit and integration tests
Provide support to DevOps teams
Ensure operational issues are identified and addressed
Provide support in identification and resolution of incidents
Ensure service resilience, sustainability and recovery time objectives
Automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline
Keep up-to-date on current tools, technologies, cyber security and regulations

Requirements:

Full stack software engineering capability including front-end, middleware, backend
Knowledge of 'Talk is cheap. Show me the code' - Hands-on engineering capabilities in state-of-the-art technologies
Capability of reading newest academic and research papers in banking, financial services and technologies
Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills
Excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Strong communication skill in both verbal and written form
Experience working in DevOps focused environment and Agile Team
Knowledge of architecture disciplines and ability to put governance into practice
Over 6-month project experience on Large Language Modelling (e.g. GPT / Llama / Bard) Transformation
Good understanding of design on micro-service and containerization
Strong experience delivering scalable solutions in finance industry
Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Ali Cloud)
Familiar with over 2 programming languages (Java/Python/Golang/Node.js)
Capability of using and extending common open frameworks (Spring, Tensor Flow, Ethereum, etc.)
Capability to build up and setup PoC Environment rapidly with Cloud, Container
Over 5-8 years' experience after university bachelor degree
Principles of Lean Startup Methodology and VC-style portfolio management
Ecosystem knowledge and connectivity including incubators, accelerators, VCs and startups
Hands on delivery of digital products in large enterprise

Nice to have:

Graduates from international top university highly preferred, MS or PhD preferred
Proven contribution to international academic and industrial communities and/or open source communities
Business knowledge in financial services industry (retail, wholesale and investment banking, wealth management, insurance, financial markets, etc.)
Knowledge of industry standards
