Working as a core member of our team in Malaysia, you will support a diverse range of marine and offshore surveying activities locally and across the APAC region. While this role has a strong focus on supporting our Oil & Gas clients with activities such as rig moves, loud-out, and transport and installation projects, you will also undertake surveying tasks such as condition, suitability and accident investigations on other types of vessels. This position will require frequent travel across the APAC region.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the day-to-day delivery of Marine Warranty and Rig Moving projects, ensuring schedules and budgets are met
Prepare tenders and proposals for offshore Marine Warranty Survey (MWS), Rig Moving and Marine Consultancy services
Plan and execute projects, defining scope, deliverables, schedules and manpower requirements
Monitor project progress and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of all outputs
Support the Management team in the development and growth of ABL services
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to optimise service quality, business growth and client satisfaction
Implement and continuously improve work processes to drive operational excellence
Ensure all operations, deliverables and reports comply with approved instructions and ABL procedures and policies
Act in accordance with internal control systems, company standards, applicable legislation and QHSE policies, always leading by example
Undertake approximately 75% chargeable work
Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Possession of a Master Mariner (STCW Class 1) ticket
Approximately 7 years' professional experience and relevant expertise
An understanding of the marine and engineering consultancy in the offshore Oil and Gas sector
Marine Warranty, Rig moving, consultancy and vessel operator or superintendency experience is desirable
Experience with emplacing Jack-up rigs onto jackets without the use of wires and/or anchors (tugs only) would be an advantage
Exposure to marine insurance and P&I surveys is beneficial
