Job Description:

As a Senior Consultant for Finance Transformation and IFRS 17 Managed Services, you will play a dual role in both "Run" and "Build" capacities. You will be responsible for the end-to-end IFRS 17 reporting cycle—ensuring data integrity and accurate disclosures—while simultaneously leading initiatives to modernize the finance function. You will act as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and Actuarial teams, ensuring that the IFRS 17 engine (Moody’s Risk Integrity or similar) integrates seamlessly with the general ledger to produce high-quality management and regulatory insights.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and execute initiatives to streamline month-end close and reporting cycles
  • Identify bottlenecks, standardize workflows, and implement automated controls to enhance data quality
  • Document and implement "Future State" processes for financial statements, management reporting (MI/KPIs), and local regulatory filings
  • Support the full production cycle, including data ingestion, model execution, application of accounting policies, and postings to the subledger/GL
  • Perform complex reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Prepare IFRS 17 disclosures and ensure alignment with underlying actuarial assumptions
  • Collaborate closely with Actuarial teams to validate results and ensure timely delivery of IFRS 17 outputs
  • Manage deliverables and timelines, proactively identify risks, and drive the resolution of technical or operational issues

Requirements:

  • Active CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation is required
  • Proven experience within the Insurance industry, specifically focusing on financial, management, or regulatory reporting
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 17 standards
  • Hands-on experience with an IFRS 17 engine (e.g., Moody’s RiskIntegrity, Aptitude, or SAS) is considered a significant asset
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, finance systems implementation, or standardizing reporting cycles
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex technical accounting and actuarial concepts for non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

Hands-on experience with an IFRS 17 engine (e.g., Moody’s RiskIntegrity, Aptitude, or SAS)

What we offer:
  • High-Impact Work: Direct influence on the evolution of a major insurance carrier’s finance architecture
  • Technical Growth: Deepen your expertise in IFRS 17
  • Strategic Exposure: Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in a high-visibility role
  • Innovation-Driven Environment: Join a team that prioritizes modern technology and agile methodologies
