Job Description:

Working as a core member of our electrical engineering team in Poland, you will deliver expert analysis and strategic advice across a broad range of renewable energy projects. This includes offshore transmission and array systems, grid interconnection, and advanced power systems studies. Additionally, you will play a key role in owner’s engineer technical advisory, technical due diligence, and desktop study assignments, while also contributing to feasibility assessments and permit design development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide consultancy on due diligence for procurement tenders and grid connection offers
  • Conduct technical studies of power systems, lead optimisation and problem-solving initiatives
  • Deliver owner’s engineering and design services and perform cost-benefit analyses for renewable electrical systems and infrastructure
  • Work as a technical lead on electrical engineering projects and ensure that our clients’ projects are delivered on budget and on schedule
  • Represent OWC as a key domain expert, sharing knowledge and experience to support the wider development of competencies within OWC
  • Represent OWC at conferences, seminars and meetings to establish business development leads and to market OWC to prospective clients
  • Follow up on leads to generate new work and independently prepare tenders and proposals
  • Ensure all deliverables are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures and policies
  • Work with multi-discipline teams of engineers (and other technical staff) in the completion of the assignments
  • Mentor and support other team members
  • Identify and communicate relevant technological developments or regulatory changes which may impact the business or provide new opportunities

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level in Electrical or Power Engineering, or a relevant topic
  • Capable of preparing technical documentation such as including reports, specifications and technical drawings (AutoCAD)
  • Experience of working on the development, construction and operation of offshore / onshore wind or other renewable energy projects is desirable
  • Knowledge power systems studies and use of power systems simulation software such as PowerFactory, PSS/E, SINCAL, or PSCAD is beneficial
  • Knowledge of submarine and onshore power cable systems, fibre optics and SCADA is beneficial
  • Knowledge of grid connection processes, grid code and technical & commercial arrangements is beneficial
  • Fluent in Polish and English
  • You must have the right to live and work in Poland

Nice to have:
