AMTS is looking for a proven Senior Construction Project Manager with a strong understanding of the lifecycle related to facility design and construction of biotech/pharmaceutical, semiconductor, chemical plant, and various industrial facilities. This individual would be responsible for the monitoring, reporting, and controlling the cost, schedule and quality of the construction activities and will assist in managing multiple client-side projects related to tool install/demo, lab fit outs, industrial renovations, and/or cleanroom/vivarium(s). This is a hands on project leader responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects ensuring they meet client needs and industry standards. This role involves managing all aspects of the project, including design, construction, and validation, and acting as the primary point of contact for the client and construction teams.
Job Responsibility:
Project Planning and Design: Collaborates with clients, designers, and engineers to define project scope, objectives, and requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Budget Management: Develops and manages project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within allocated resources
Schedule Management: Develops and monitors project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases
Construction Management: Oversees the construction process, ensuring quality control, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations
Client Communication: Serves as the primary point of contact for the client, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing their concerns
Validation and Testing: Manages the validation and testing process to ensure the cleanroom meets all design specifications and performance requirements
Risk Management: Identifies and manages potential risks and issues that may affect the project’s success
Team Leadership: Leads and motivates project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure the project’s success
Documentation: Maintains accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including as-built drawings, validation reports, and other relevant documents
Requirements:
Minimum 10-15 years experience in similar pharmaceutical cleanroom environments
Must have led cleanroom installation teams
Must be experienced in cleanroom system components from multiple manufacturers to include pharma systems
Must understand project programming from start to finish to ensure successful project execution
Must have a bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction or related experience
Able to communicate verbally, electronically and written to convey information in an effective manner
Technically skilled to act as the interface between disciplines, engineers, installers and contractors
Needs to understand equipment and system P&IDs, specifications and drawings and be able to identify field discrepancies for resolution
Understanding of Area Layout
Knowledge of micro schedule for pre-facilitation, understanding of sequence of construction activities and install sequencing
Able to track hours in the field and to assess earned value
Able to resolve technical construction questions in the field
Strong knowledge is required in the following areas
local and national codes
construction drawings/symbols
acceptable industry standard/practices
To generate weekly and monthly reports on construction performance as required
