The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for all technical aspects of the telecommunications equipment deployment at assigned job/sites for a customer unit and is the market leader and decision maker on all issues falling under the position’s scope. This role is responsible for ensuring the appropriateness of the site for deployment, selecting suppliers to perform the construction on the site, negotiating the out of scope or non FPP (Fixed Price Package) items with suppliers, resolving or assisting in the resolution of missing equipment and materials necessary for the deployment, planning and scheduling the installation and construction of the job/site, including setting project schedules, forecasting, and sequencing of work, supporting or acting as escalation for construction related issues, analyzing and managing the budget of the job/site, and delegating administrative tasks to support organizations, who provide support to the Senior Construction Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze and recommend the required level of effort to the Customer Project Manager
Plan and manage the execution of the contracted scope of work
Oversee resource planning and crew scheduling
Manage site-level costs through supplier negotiations
Provide performance feedback for suppliers and Ericsson personnel
Prepare and deliver reports, analyses, and presentations
Assign and oversee administrative tasks
Requirements:
Minimum of relevant work/industry experience of 6+ years
Requires advanced Wireless Construction workflow knowledge
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience with providing design solutions and guidance of order of operations
Ability to determine site feasibility and site design consulting
Direct knowledge of general construction processes & procedures
Experience in managing and directing general contractors, construction scope estimation, etc. (Civils, Ground, L&A, Backhaul, Maintenance Work)
Knowledge of and ability to enforce Ericsson and customer construction and quality standards
Strong knowledge of troubleshooting practices and techniques
Strong understanding of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, landlord negotiations, leasing laws, jurisdictional requirements, and environmental compliance
Ability to interface with customers, property owners, and other internal and external ancillary personnel
