Job Description

Senior Construction Architect / Owner's Representative / Construction Administration. Must have strong construction administration, code review, and owner's representative experience. Looking for a highly experienced Senior Licensed Architect to support facility design, construction documentation, QA/QC, and construction administration for complex built-environment projects. This role is ideal for someone who can act as an Architectural Owner's Representative, ensuring projects meet design intent, code requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines from concept through construction.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform facility feasibility assessments for proposed projects across multiple building types and occupancies
  • Review construction documents for completeness, quality, constructability, and code compliance
  • Manage design development, construction drawings, and specifications in coordination with internal and external teams
  • Lead design reviews and ensure design intent is maintained from concept through construction
  • Coordinate architectural scope with civil, structural, MEP, lighting, infrastructure, graphics, and other disciplines
  • Serve as a liaison with city officials and external agencies to support permitting and compliance requirements

Requirements

  • 13+ years of professional architecture experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program
  • Active Architectural License in the State of California
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing architectural construction drawings and specifications
  • Hands-on Construction Administration experience, including site observations, RFIs, and submittal reviews
  • Strong knowledge of California Building Code, ADA, health codes, and CalOSHA requirements
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
