Job Description

Our fast-paced Compliance team is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer with experience in performing compliance monitoring procedures in the payments and/or finance industry. The successful candidate must possess strong fundamentals in risk and control and would function as a business partner to connect with a wide range of teams, including risk, legal, finance and sales. The candidate will be expected to drive and manage multiple projects and provide pragmatic advice and guidance on maturing compliance processes in a sustainable way.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead in the planning and execution of the annual compliance monitoring program
  • Drive the development of an oversight methodology over first line business processes
  • Supervise team members in the execution of second-line quality assurance testing procedures in line with the compliance oversight program
  • Lead in the creation, planning, and execution of new quality assurance programs
  • Pro-actively drive the development of efficient and data-driven oversight solutions
  • Lead and coordinate enhanced monitoring activities and remediations where heightened risks are identified
  • Collaborate with the compliance team on the further development of the compliance program
  • Defend the compliance oversight program to internal audit and regulators
  • Advise the business on enhancement of compliance procedures as required

Requirements

  • 5-7 years experience in a senior role within a second line compliance function and/or internal/external audit function
  • Knowledge of the finance and/or payment industry
  • Analytical thinker with an attention to detail who can both draft, and monitor on the implementation of, relevant processes, procedures, and policies
  • Keen eye and passion to identify risks while thoughtfully crafting remediation plans to promptly mitigate them
  • Strong communicator who is able to adjust style and tone of communication, both verbally and in writing, to tailor it to audience
  • Solid interpersonal skills and specifically able to liaise and connect with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, as well as customers, from varying disciplines and cultures
  • Self-starter and able to lead multiple initiatives concurrently that uplift the compliance program without sacrificing quality
  • Excited about working with an international team who will provide different perspectives and sharpen ideas
