The Senior Compliance Manager will be an experienced compliance and/ or risk manager responsible for managing implementation of the Vodafone Group compliance program and contributing to the design and implementation of a control framework tailored to VB’s risk profile. They will provide second line risk and compliance expertise, oversight and challenge across Vodafone Business. The role focuses on hands-on delivery, deep subject-matter expertise and trusted advisory support, enabling commercial growth while operating responsibly and within risk appetite. VB is a matrix organisation and the Senior Compliance Manager will coordinate with other Vodafone Group functions including regulatory, and risk. A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset is essential, balancing risk-management with commercial priorities, ideally supported by experience in B2B telecommunications or a similarly regulated industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Implementation of a VB risk and compliance management system based on identification of material risks, design and implementation of proportionate and tailored controls, and clear allocation of accountabilities and responsibilities in the first and second lines
  • Support and hold to account the VB policy champions and control owners
  • Coordinate stakeholders in the VB central entities, local market VB units, and Vodafone Group functions
  • Deliver training and awareness programmes to drive and maintain high standards and understanding in relation to compliance and ethics across VB
  • Contribute to VB and Vodafone Group risk and compliance governance committees, including reporting in relation to the VB risk & compliance management system KPIs, control implementation failures, internal audit findings and mitigating actions
  • Prepare clear, actionable insights to Vodafone Business leadership to support effective decision making
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with Vodafone Business and Vodafone Group stakeholders and Vodafone Group functions including Internal Audit
  • Provide confident, constructive challenge and advice to stakeholders at all levels on risk decisions, mitigation strategies and compliance obligations
  • Carry out compliance and regulatory risk assessments in the context of customer deal reviews and product development

Requirements

  • Significant experience at Senior Manager level in a compliance and/or risk function
