Job Description

Eversource is looking for a Senior Compliance Field Engineer in Berlin, CT, Westwood, MA, Springfield, MA, Manchester/Hookset NH to support Transmission Compliance. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing activities associated with the development and management of Compliance activities related to the cyber-security, physical security, and maintenance of the Bulk Electric System.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading and managing activities associated with the development and management of Compliance activities related to the cyber-security, physical security, and maintenance of the Bulk Electric System
  • Developing and leading assessments, audits, and reviews of existing compliance, identification of performance gaps
  • Facilitating the determination of improvement actions and tracking them through completion
  • Working closely with the Operations staff to ensure compliance and implement process improvements
  • Tracking changes to applicable standards as they are approved by regulatory authorities
  • Providing engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems
  • Ensuring accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
  • Preparing thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches related to defined problems and analysis
  • Conducting engineering and related studies
  • Completing non-routine engineering projects with minimal oversight
  • Developing positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
  • Demonstrating effective oral and written communication skills
  • Maintaining accurate records and files
  • Supporting the company's goals and representing the company positively and professionally

Requirements

  • Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred
  • Ability to independently develop, present and execute new projects through collaborations with other departments
  • Familiarity with power-related software is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years related experience is required
  • Engineering design experience preferred

  • Submitting official certification through relevant compliance bodies such as FCC, CE, UL, TUV, KCC, MIC, SRRC, etc. and acting as a liaison between 10x Genomics and state, local, federal and international agencies to submit required forms and paperwork while maintaining date and files for future reference, particularly in the event of an audit by a regulatory agency
  • Understanding RoHS, REACH, TSCA, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation and ensuring that new and existing products are designed to comply with those guidelines and tested accordingly
  • Determining and interpreting the relevant regulatory standards such as IEC 61010-1, IEC 61010-2-010, IEC 61010-2-081, IEC 60601 and how they apply to 10x Genomics products to establish and maintain guidelines and best design practices to mitigate compliance issues early in the design phase
