Job Description

As a Senior Compensation Partner, you will be a key member of our Total Rewards team, providing strategic and operational compensation support across our organization. In this role, you will work alongside and provide thought partnership to the Director, Compensation and the VP, Rewards & Systems, as well as mentor a Compensation Analyst. You will partner with leaders, recruiters, and the People team to deliver data-driven solutions that help us attract and retain top talent. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for a proactive and self-starting professional who will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Facilitate the Evolution of Crusoe’s Job Architecture and Pay Programs
  • Become an expert on Crusoe’s job architecture framework and partner with business stakeholders and the People team to ensure it continues to evolve with the business
  • Support the People team’s mandate to provide role and level clarity, effectively and consistently link pay to performance, and facilitate career progression for Crusoe team members through maintenance of our job architecture
  • Streamline and support the execution of Crusoe’s compensation programs, including compensation cycles, bonus allocation processes, equity refresh programs, and spot bonuses
  • Partner cross-functionally to lead project management activities and provide budget modeling, tool development, and communication support
  • Provide Consultative Compensation Support to the Business
  • Work with leaders, People Partners, and recruiters to diagnose, analyze, and provide recommendations on compensation-related matters including pricing for new or changing roles, new hire offer packages, promotion reviews, and other ad hoc needs
  • Conduct market benchmarking and research to ensure pay programs remain competitive and internally equitable
  • Partner with other Total Rewards team members to suggest adjustments to Crusoe’s pay philosophy and design of programs
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, model costs, and provide data-driven recommendations that influence business decisions
  • Evolve and Mature Crusoe’s Compensation Communication Strategy
  • Partner with Total Rewards team members and People team colleagues to drive the evolution of Crusoe’s approach for educating the organization about compensation and rewards programs
  • Leverage a combination of written materials, training sessions, systems, and operational workflows to ensure the appropriate and relevant information is communicated clearly, concisely, and at the appropriate time to support decision-making
  • Evolve communication processes to provide efficiency and scalability and to enable self-service for employees and managers
  • Support the Expansion of Crusoe’s Compensation System and Data Capabilities
  • Provide thought partnership in the refinement and documentation of Crusoe’s compensation-related system workflows to continuously build towards automation and the use of AI and to support our transition to a new HCM provider
  • Support efforts across the Total Rewards team to maintain clean, accurate data by conducting data audits, suggesting process improvements, and coaching team members on error identification and mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of progressive compensation experience
  • preferably within a high-growth company with the technology industry
  • Deep knowledge of broad-based compensation programs, including base pay and variable incentives
  • Experience in sales/incentive compensation design and/or equity program design is strongly preferred
  • Experience with a variety of third-party market data providers (e.g., Radford, Pave, Carta CTC, Levels.fyi)
  • Experience with a variety of HRIS and equity administration systems (e.g., Rippling, Workday, Shareworks, TeamOhana) is preferred
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a proficiency in spreadsheet software and experience with large datasets
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior leaders
  • A proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
