The Senior Compensation Analyst is a key member of the Compensation team responsible for the administration and implementation of compensation programs, policies, and procedures and delivering consistent, market-based compensation programs across Brunswick Corporation within an initial focus on the Brunswick Boat Group (BBG) division. This role will be focused on hourly employee compensation, including leading the initiative to develop an aligned approach to hourly compensation programs, conducting market analyses to determine competitive positioning of hourly compensation programs and guiding annual pay administration activities.
Job Responsibility:
Primary responsibility relates to the design, support, and administration of hourly employee compensation programs in the United States during the first year with the opportunity for global expansion in future years
Streamline various hourly compensation programs into an aligned approach within BBG and consideration of broader Brunswick enterprise-wide future state design and programs
Evaluate market competitiveness of Brunswick’s hourly jobs and compensation programs and make recommendations using compensation survey data
Support other divisions within Brunswick to understand their hourly work compensation programs and job and pay structures
Evaluate and maintain market competitiveness of hourly worker compensation structures on an annual basis
Lead job evaluations and grade recommendations for hourly positions
Review and streamline hourly job profile library
Conduct, participate in, and analyze salary surveys
Administer the merit planning process for hourly employees, including data auditing and pre-launch system testing
Consult with HR Partners on compensation issues and opportunities
Develop and communicate compensation policies and procedures, including roles and responsibilities (RACI) for compensation operating model
Provide support to HR leadership across Brunswick during union negotiations
Maintain compensation configurations as it relates to Workday HRIS. Partner with the HRIS team regarding system requirements and testing for new functionality/upgrades to compensation-related system enhancements
Prepare and complete Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) loads to update various employee compensation elements in Workday HRIS
Create/refine process documentation for recurring compensation processes
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations
Support salaried compensation administration, initiatives, and processes as needed
Ad-hoc requests as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of compensation, human resources, accounting or finance experience, with a focus on hourly or broad-based pay programs
Technically savvy
proficiency using Microsoft Suite (e.g. Excel and Word) is essential, including the use of pivot tables and v-lookups
Familiarity with Workday HRIS system a plus
Experience with market pricing tools (e.g. Willis Towers Watson, PayFactors and other local compensation surveys)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks is crucial
Project management experience is a plus
Strong decision making, organizational and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome unforeseen obstacles
Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders across varying levels of the organization
Ability to maintain confidentiality as it relates to employee compensation matters
