Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Commissions Analyst to support commission operations for a growing organization in American Fork, Utah. This Long-term Contract position will focus on maintaining accurate incentive payouts, investigating compensation-related issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve reporting quality. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, comfort working across multiple data sources, and the ability to keep commission processes running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the full commission cycle from data review through final payout delivery, ensuring deadlines and accuracy standards are consistently met
  • Examine compensation data across platforms such as Excel, Salesforce, and commission systems to confirm results and resolve discrepancies before payments are issued
  • Apply compensation plan rules to calculate earnings, process exceptions, and complete retroactive updates or payment corrections when needed
  • Serve as a key contact for sales teams and internal stakeholders by addressing questions related to earnings, statements, and payout variances
  • Investigate underlying data problems that affect commission outcomes and take corrective action to improve reliability and consistency
  • Provide direction and quality oversight to an entry-level or offshore analyst supporting recurring commissions work, including renewals-related activities
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A and Sales Operations to reconcile reporting inputs, clarify compensation logic, and support ongoing business analysis needs
  • Help preserve continuity in existing commission workflows during a period of team disruption by monitoring process stability and addressing operational gaps proactively

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business analysis, commissions analysis, or incentive compensation operations
  • Strong capability in Excel and experience working with sales and compensation data from systems such as Salesforce
  • familiarity with Xactly is a plus
  • Ability to review detailed documentation, validate calculations, and perform reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience identifying process gaps, analyzing root causes, and recommending practical solutions to improve operational performance
  • Comfortable responding to internal stakeholder questions and explaining commission outcomes clearly and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in fast-moving environments, including teams that use Agile or Scrum-based workflows
  • Strong attention to detail, sound problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
