Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Commissioning Manager to lead our strategic approach to joint commissioning with health partners. This is a critical leadership role at the heart of our Children’s Services transformation, working collaboratively across organisational boundaries to ensure children, young people and families receive the right support, in the right place, at the right time.
Job Responsibility
Lead strategic approach to joint commissioning with health partners
Develop and deliver integrated commissioning arrangements with health and system partners, including the Integrated Care System (ICS)
Oversee complex funding arrangements (including Sections 75, 76 and 256)
Drive innovation
Ensure services are outcome-focused, high quality and provide value for money
Strengthen partnerships and deliver system-wide improvement
Requirements
Significant experience in strategic commissioning, ideally within children's services and/or health
Strong understanding of joint commissioning frameworks, including Sections 75, 76 and 256
Proven ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries
Excellent leadership, influencing and negotiation skills
A track record of delivering service improvement and managing complex programmes
A strong commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people and families
