We are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our national Texas based firm in Uptown Dallas, Texas. This role involves supporting complex commercial real estate transactions, ensuring legal compliance, and coordinating with various stakeholders. This non-exempt position is responsible for preparing documentation necessary to for real estate purchases and sale closings. The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will review amendments, leases, subleases and purchase assignments.
Job Responsibility:
Manage due diligence processes for commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
Analyze and summarize title commitments, surveys, and related documents to identify potential issues
Collaborate with title companies to resolve title matters and secure title policies
Conduct and review searches for liens, judgments, taxes, and other encumbrances
Draft and file legal documents such as deeds, mortgages, and financing statements
Obtain necessary permits and regulatory documents from agencies like the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
Coordinate with city offices and agencies, including the Dallas Zoning Board of Adjustment, to ensure compliance
Attend administrative hearings, including zoning hearings, as needed
Develop detailed closing checklists and oversee the closing process for real estate transactions
Requirements:
At least three years of experience with real estate work including knowledge of financing, lease negotiation, and lending documents and procedures
Solid title/survey background experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle real estate transactions from the initial contract through the closing, and work with minimal supervision
Above-average writing skills
Ability to conduct legal research
Strong computer skills
Familiar with effective administrative processes
Ability to manage a multitude of tasks and deals simultaneously
Paralegal certification from an ABA approved school or bachelor’s degree in a field related to law
