Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Specialist in Capital Finance as part of Commercial Banking Operations Division. The role focuses on pre-close activities, negotiation of legal documentation, funding logistics, and client liaison responsibilities within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a variety of pre-close activities for moderately complex to complex commercial loans, including coordinating all aspects of loan closings
  • Review and negotiate complex legal documentation, evaluate risks, develop strategies to mitigate documentation risk and identify procedural modifications
  • Facilitate the closing and funding of new loan transactions including participations and loan restructures
  • Serve as a liaison to business divisions, underwriters, prospective clients, insurance brokers, attorneys, banks, letter of credit contacts and cash management contacts
  • Organize legal documents, internal documents and post-closing items
  • Coordinate funding logistics for new financings, participations and complex restructures
  • Review cash management arrangements
  • modify cash management structures, including preparation and negotiation of cash management agreements and set-up of accounts
  • Collect, review and negotiate acceptable insurance certificates and endorsements
  • Facilitate the issuance of letters of credit

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Asset Based Lending experience
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Law preferred
  • Paralegal and/or finance experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Deposit Account Control Agreements (DACAs) and cash management systems
  • Proficient in reading and understanding complex loan documentation
  • Commercial Insurance knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
