Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, supportive, and high-functioning legal team responsible for supporting Wiz’s global channel sales organization as they build and grow Wiz’s partner program. We are seeking a talented, creative, and solutions-oriented attorney with expertise in negotiating complex commercial partner agreements and serving as a legal business partner in attaining Wiz’s channel growth objectives in all Wiz sales theaters.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide counseling to Wiz’s channel sales organization regarding Wiz’s global partner programs and operations, strategic partnerships and initiatives, advising on the various legal risks (including anti-bribery and anti-corruption, third party risk, and anti-trust and competition law), and other issues related to the structure and execution of Wiz’s partner programs
  • Take ownership of the drafting, review, and negotiation of all forms of partnership and alliance agreements and associated program documentation including distribution and resale, services delivery, referral, systems integrator, managed services, cloud marketplace, and more
  • Advise your fellow Wizards on contract interpretation and negotiation to accelerate contract velocity
  • Respond promptly to requests for legal advice from business teams, summarizing and communicating legal concepts that business people can understand and use
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements, negotiation playbooks, contract templates, internal policies, and legal processes
  • Triage a heavy workflow, setting appropriate priorities with internal clients and delivering results efficiently

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of in-house experience is required
  • technology company experience is preferred
  • strong emphasis on strategic alliances, negotiating a high volume of complex partner agreements, supporting partner programs, and advising on the laws and regulations that impact channel sales
  • familiarity with and working knowledge of privacy and information security legal issues to the extent necessary to review, draft and negotiate data protection and information security agreements with customers and partners
  • admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. state, with a demonstrated record of success as a lawyer
  • strong “business-friendly” style
  • strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ability to work independently on a remote basis and as a member of a team
  • experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems
