Job Description:

Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Middle Market Group is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager for our Sponsors group. Middle Market Banking provides comprehensive financial services to commercial customers primarily with annual sales from $25 million to $2 billion. The Sponsors group aligns dedicated coverage and credit teams with private equity sponsors and certain family offices within Commercial Banking.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support leadership and senior relationship managers in all aspects of the business
  • Independently develop, retain, and grow complex client relationships
  • Lead or participate in the structuring, modification, and renewal of complex capital markets transactions
  • Prepare screening memos for capital markets related transactions
  • Review, understand, and offer the full suite of complex solutions offered by Wells Fargo
  • Independently lead or resolve moderately complex initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve client issues
  • Drive relationship planning activities
  • Support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients
  • Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience or equivalent
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of core commercial banking and investment products: deposits, commercial credit, and treasury
  • Experience with underwriting complex credit and debt structure
  • Foundational ability to interpret financial statements, summarize findings and structure credit transactions
  • Experience working with financial modeling
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative and accountability
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal partners
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related business degree
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
