This is not a high-level, advisory position. If you want to sit back and review the work of others, do not apply. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for an analytical self-starter. This exclusive fixed-term contract gives you complete financial ownership of a complex global innovation pipeline. Operating across unmapped market opportunities, unlaunched product categories, and entirely new consumer segments, you will build advanced volumetric models, analyse international pricing chains, and establish shadow P&Ls from scratch. Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A, you will act as the principal finance partner to the global brand leads, directly guiding investment choices that dictate category growth. The role offers a competitive salary of up to $180,000 + Super for a top-tier commercial analyst. The workspace follows a structured hybrid pattern requiring 3 days in the office, with flexibility required for out-of-hours global touchpoints.
Job Responsibility
Shadow P&L Ownership: Drive total financial visibility by owning the global Innovation Shadow P&L end-to-end, linking new initiatives directly to master P&Ls to manage portfolio trade-offs
Advanced Financial Modelling: Lead financial and volumetric modelling across the complete Stage Gate framework (G1 to G5), delivering rigorous size-of-prize analysis and robust assumption validation
Commercial Challenge: Hold cross-functional category and project teams accountable for inputs, forecasts, and financial accuracy, mitigating risk before capital allocation
Cannibalisation Analysis: Define, track, and manage complex cannibalisation thresholds and run-rates to evaluate net value impact and guide pipeline sequencing
Commercial Lever Mastery: Deeply analyse international pricing chains and commercial levers to identify pivots that unlock value during development and post-launch
Investment Governance: Formulate disciplined OPEX and CAPEX investment recommendations to ensure optimal, value-driven capital allocation
Stakeholder Partnership: Translate sophisticated financial analysis into clear, practical, and persuasive insights for remote and cross-functional non-finance business partners
