Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior COBOL Developer to join our team in maintaining and evolving critical legacy systems. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in COBOL technologies and a passion for delivering robust and scalable solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, DB2/SQL, JCL, and CICS COBOL Online (including screens and maps)
  • Perform system analysis and design to ensure efficient and scalable solutions
  • Conduct program unit testing and system integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Handle sequential file processing and batch operations
  • Utilize development tools such as Visual COBOL and Eclipse
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Contribute to technical documentation and promote best development practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of programming experience in COBOL, DB2/SQL, JCL, CICS COBOL Online, and sequential file handling
  • Over 5 years of experience in system analysis and design
  • Proven experience with Visual COBOL and Eclipse development tools
  • Strong experience in unit testing and system integration testing (minimum 5 years)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication skills and results-oriented mindset
  • English Speaker (B2 level)

Nice to have

Knowledge of Unix shell scripting is a plus
