We are seeking a high-calibre Presales Consultant to drive solution design and commercial deal shaping across Microsoft Azure cloud migration and Data Centre Exit engagements. This role sits within the Microsoft Business Unit and is critical to NTT DATA’s growth strategy in Singapore and Southeast Asia, supporting enterprise and public sector clients in their journey from legacy on-premises infrastructure to Azure-native, AI-ready environments. The ideal candidate blends deep Azure technical knowledge with strong commercial acumen, enabling them to architect credible migration roadmaps, build compelling business cases, and lead client-facing workshops that convert pipeline into signed deals.
Job Responsibility:
Solution Design & Architecture: Lead technical discovery and assessment for Azure migration and DC Exit opportunities, including application portfolio rationalisation (6R framework), dependency mapping, and cloud readiness scoring
Develop TCO models, business cases, and ROI analysis that articulate clear financial benefits of DC exit to CIO and CFO stakeholders
Define migration wave plans, cutover strategies, and risk mitigation approaches tailored to client environments
Presales & Deal Shaping: Partner with the Sales and Account Management teams to qualify opportunities, develop proposals, and respond to RFPs/RFIs
Lead client-facing workshops including Azure Migration Assessment sessions, Cloud Strategy Briefings, and Proof-of-Concept demonstrations
Build pricing models for migration projects including managed services wrap and post-migration Azure consumption (ACR) forecasts
Create executive-ready pitch decks, solution briefs, and technical proposals that translate complex architectures into business outcomes
Microsoft Partnership & GTM: Collaborate with Microsoft account teams (ATU, STU, CSA) to co-sell and co-deliver on Azure migration opportunities
Support NTT DATA’s Microsoft Advanced Specialisation and Solutions Partner designations through deal registration, ACE nominations, and reference architectures
Stay current on Azure product roadmap, pricing changes, and competitive positioning versus AWS/GCP
Contribute to thought leadership content, webinars, and industry events to build NTT DATA’s Azure and DC Exit brand in the market
Delivery Enablement: Ensure smooth presales-to-delivery handoff with complete solution documentation, architecture decision records, and risk registers
Mentor and upskill delivery teams on Azure migration tooling (Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Database Migration Service)
Build reusable IP including migration playbooks, assessment templates, and reference architectures for common DC exit patterns
Requirements:
15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud consulting, or presales roles with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
Demonstrated experience in Data Centre Exit / DC migration projects end-to-end, from assessment through cutover and decommission
Deep understanding of Azure core services: Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity (Entra ID), Security (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel), and governance (Azure Policy, Management Groups)
Proficiency with Azure migration and modernisation tools: Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Database Migration Service, App Service Migration Assistant
Strong experience building TCO models, business cases, and commercial proposals for enterprise and public sector clients
Excellent presentation and communication skills with a track record of leading C-level workshops and technical deep-dives
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
Microsoft certifications: AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), or AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer)
Experience with Azure Landing Zone frameworks (CAF, Enterprise-Scale) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates)
Familiarity with Azure VMware Solution (AVS) for lift-and-shift VMware workloads
Understanding of Singapore public sector IT landscape including GCC, GovTech cloud policies, and IM8 compliance requirements
Prior experience working with large system integrators or Microsoft Gold/Solutions Partners in ASEAN markets
Exposure to adjacent Microsoft workloads: Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, or Data & AI (Fabric, Databricks on Azure)
FinOps or Azure Cost Management experience for post-migration consumption optimisation
