Senior Cloud IoT Software Engineer

Carrier is a leading provider of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, and building controls and automation. Our Digital Products and Software team builds connected residential experiences that rely on secure, scalable cloud services and resilient device-to-cloud integrations. The Infinity platform is the cloud backbone for the Residential software ecosystem. It supports backend services, API and event-driven integrations, connected-device workflows, and operational capabilities that power mobile apps, portals, and other digital products across the platform. This role is remote in the US only. Must be a permanent US Resident, sponsorship is not available. We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Backend / Cloud to help design, build, and scale the Infinity platform. This role is ideal for an engineer who is strong in cloud-native backend systems, Kubernetes-based runtime environments, and IoT-connected architectures, and who can operate effectively at the center of multiple product experiences. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role. The engineer in this position will be expected to lead technical execution in complex areas, strengthen platform reliability and observability, and act as a key daytime escalation point during U.S. business hours.
