Job Description

Broster Buchanan are partnered with a global automotive brand who are looking for an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join their growing IT department, primarily to help manage and build their core Azure infrastructure during an exciting time with plenty of upcoming projects. Approximately 20% of the work will be BAU, with 80% focused on new projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Be the key individual responsible for maintenance, management and design of Azure infrastructure
  • Provide technical systems support to internal and external customers
  • Identify operational problems, document troubleshooting and correction
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, implement or escalate Incidents, service requests or alerts
  • Follow IT Service Management Processes
  • Ensure all IT systems function within SLA parameters
  • Maintenance and support, project work and delivery of multiple platforms and systems
  • Help and support Application Super Users Group
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in UK and Europe

Requirements

  • Strong Azure background, experience in designing, building and maintaining Azure infrastructure, experience with network, VM, automation, monitoring
  • Good experience in ITIL Framework of Service Management
  • Good experience in Windows architecture, Active Directory, Virtualisation, SQL/Oracle Server for Infrastructure and DBA, backup and restore technologies
  • Familiar with networking topologies, hardware, standards and protocols
  • Understanding of Disaster Recovery and BCP Planning
  • Automated scripting skills (PowerShell, VBScript) beneficial but not essential
