Join Datwave (a BIP's Company) to accelerate your career in the world of Cloud and AI. As a Senior Cloud Data & AI Architect, you will work alongside senior experts to build next-generation data architectures and artificial intelligence solutions. Your goal will be to consolidate your strong software development and engineering foundations by applying them to the Google Cloud ecosystem. You will actively participate in developing data pipelines, setting up infrastructure through code, and experimenting with new Generative AI models.

Job Responsibility

  • Architectural Design: End-to-end design of data platforms on GCP (Data Mesh, Medallion Architecture) while ensuring robust data governance
  • Technical Pre-sales & Client Advisory: Support business development through technical proposals, Proofs-of-Concept (PoCs), and managing relationships with client-side stakeholders
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Full automation of resource provisioning using Terraform
  • AI Implementation: Design of AI/ML solutions, including intelligent agent orchestration and model industrialization (MLOps)
  • App & Migration: Oversight of application deployment and management of complex database migrations
  • Mentorship: Technical guidance and career growth for the junior profiles within the team

Requirements

  • At least 5–7 years in similar roles with a strong focus on Google Cloud
  • Mastery of Terraform and deep knowledge of core GCP services (BigQuery, Dataplex, Vertex AI)
  • Proven experience in setting up modern Data Lakes/Warehouses and developing AI models
  • Excellent knowledge of Python and CI/CD paradigms applied to the cloud
  • Technical leadership, strong communication skills for sales support, and fluency in both Italian and English

Nice to have

  • Google Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer
  • Experience with Vertex AI Agent Engine or LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain/LlamaIndex)
