An exciting opportunity to join a growing team and make an impact on the lives of patients during their subacute admission. Multidisciplinary role providing psychological care to patients admitted to the inpatient rehabilitation ward, Mellor Unit, at Royal Talbot and in the Better@Home service.
Job Responsibility
Providing psychological care to patients with high prevalence psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, health trauma, adjustment concerns and grief/loss
adopting a flexible approach to caseload management and involvement in patient centred intervention
collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to provide best patient care including secondary consultation around patient management
liaising with external agencies and community supports to implement appropriate community referrals
Requirements
Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
registration with AHPRA Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist
experience providing comprehensive psychological care within a health or hospital based setting
knowledge and skills working with high prevalence psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment and grief
high level interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and engagement
for appointment at Grade 3 level, at least five years' clinical experience and AHPRA approved supervisor status
