BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or qualifies as a Technologist under 42 CFR § 493.1489

Job Responsibility

Perform assigned analytical tests under the direction of senior laboratory personnel in accordance with SOPs ensuring quality control
Actively support and comply with laboratory policies and procedures
Adhere to analytical schedules to maintain turnaround time
Ensure test systems are 'in control'
Inform supervisory personnel of problems
Report deviations from standard procedures
Maintain laboratory areas and equipment in safe, functional, sanitary condition
Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety requirements
Use personal protective equipment and engineering controls as directed
Other duties as assigned

Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements – Bachelor’s degree is a plus
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technologist/Technician
Previous Senior or Lead Technologist experience is highly preferred
ASCP or AMT certification is preferred

Job Responsibility

Review and release test results
