We are looking for a Senior Claims Handler to join our market leading Corporate Insurance and Risk division as part of the Motor Team working with large self-insurance corporates. The team has a progressive approach, with a market leading reputation for tackling claims; tracking trends and analysing behaviours with a view to providing our clients bespoke claims strategies and analysis of changing market behaviours. Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive training program. This role will be based out of our Newport office (NP10 8UH) and successful candidates will be expected to attend the office 4 days per week during the first six months and a more hybrid approach after successfully passing probation. Due to the location of our Newport office we advise candidates consider their commute as public transport is limited in this area - however for those who drive there is ample parking near the office.
Job Responsibility
Provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to clients in the management of volume pre-litigated cases in the motor department
negotiate claims for liability and damages on pre litigation cases within authority limits
act as a point of contact for clients
maintain and develop technical knowledge
ensure strategies reflect commercial reality of case value
comply with internal and external service level agreements
record timely and accurate management information
hit individual financial targets
mentor less experienced claims handlers when required
work with Leadership Group to support team performance
support marketing and business development activity
maintain an awareness of the firm's strategies and plans
handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols
Requirements
Previous experience and knowledge of handling motor cases
experience of dealing with personal injury (OIC and MOJ Portals)
experience of dealing with credit hire cases
IT literacy with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word
