Job Description

We have excellent opportunities for Senior Civil / Structural BIM Technicians based in Glasgow. Candidates are required to be sole UK Nationals and able and willing to obtain BPSS level security clearance. This can be office based, remote or hybrid. Our Client Team is experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within their established practice, and they are now looking for experienced Civil / Structural BIM Technicians to join their multi-discipline technical delivery capability.

Job Responsibility

Developing solutions through all stages in highly regulated environments, in support of air, land and sea defence establishments, the UK nuclear submarine fleet, and both existing and new build nuclear bases
Developing solutions through all RIBA stages in highly regulated environments

Requirements

Fluent in Revit, Auto-Cad and Navis Works
Ability to produce 3D CAD information in a BIM environment
Production of 2D drawings (layouts, arrangements, sections, elevations etc.) from the 3D model
Work with project teams to capture design requirements, providing technical advice and guidance where required
Support with the implementation & development of BIM activities
Familiar with BIM (ISO19650), use of Common Data Environment (CDE) and QA systems
Knowledge of the Civil / Structural engineering discipline, but willingness to contribute to Architectural and M&E Building Services
Experienced in engineering in a defence or nuclear related industry preferred but not essential, happy to consider other industries
Familiar with working in a secure environment
Relevant qualification minimum, HND or equivalent

Nice to have

Experience of working in the maritime, nuclear and/or defence industries
Experienced in engineering in a defence or nuclear related industry
